Esoteric Entertainments was a company I helped set up as a media resource to provide information, expertise, people and content in the mind body and spirit fields. During 5 years I was with them, we made considerable progress in challenging mainstream media’s concept of areas and subjects that are frequently misunderstood; subjects such as Christina Oakley Harrington discussing grimoires on the Richard and Judy Show and Halloween on Sky news; Michele Knight on Xtra Factor, Adam Fronteras talking about dreams on XFM and BBC Radio, Ting Foon Chik discussing chinese astrology in the Saturday Observer and many more .
My focus was to find as many media opportunities as possible for professionals in those areas and we did make some headway in providing the media with experts for tv and radio interviews, book publishing deals, magazine columns, talks, lectures and permanent tv slots. Our clients appeared in all of the main uk newspapers and the spiritually focused magazines. During that time, I also had the opportunity to speak about Wicca on Dragon FM, Tarot on LBC, was interviewed for the Express about Wicca, the Guardian for positive thinking and the Independent for psychic tv and appeared on Jerry Hall’s Kept Man.
We wrote tv formats which we constantly promoted to production companies and we supplied many tv programmes and pilots with experts, props and information about wicca, astrology, spiritual healing and all the related new age subjects.
I was the main author for the Spirit and Destiny Psychic Development Course which sold 900 copies in under a month in 2004
I wrote the International College of Esoteric Studies 8 part Witchcraft Course for beginners and people wanting to know about this rapidly expanding area of interest.
Awareness TV was a project I was heavily involved with for over two years, working to provide research and content for a tv channel/internet concept focusing on evolving higher consciousness and wellbeing. I researched content, wrote content (over 500 articles on a variety of subjects from astrology to zen buddhism), sourced experts, interviewed spiritual teachers (both video and audio) and supplied information. I am grateful to all the people I worked with who were part of the project – it was the most exciting, challenging and rewarding time, particularly to be a part of something everyone was keen to see manifest.
Paranormal News was a UK distributed magazine focusing on subjects in and around the paranormal arena. My monthly column for two years focused on seasonal traditions and how they were celebrated around the country as well as answering readers’ questions on the paranormal.
I also wrote a regular feature for the award winning regional magazine ‘Paranormal Norfolk’ for two years.
Resource Director and Anchor woman for Myspiritradio; an online Mind Body and Spirit magazine for three years during which I also ran my own two monthly shows, interviewing leading spiritual teachers of the time including Byron Katie, Andrew Cohen, Ronald Alexander, Michael Neill, Anne Baring, Brandon Bays, Neale Donald Walsch, James Redfield and many, many more.
As part of Esoteric Entertainments, we helped launch a psychic channel, Destiny TV, sourcing experts, handling rotas, preparing running schedules and providing props and information. Destiny TV ran for two years during which time I ran my own show for one day a week over six months, promoting tarot, wicca, answering questions on a variety of psychic subjects and introducing many new subjects to tv for the first time. I believe I was the first person to teach tarot on tv in 2005!
Associate producer for a pilot project on the evolving popularity of witchcraft and how witchcraft really works.
